You are now able to explain the basic legal rights which individuals are entitled to under the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Your study of the Criminal Code has shown you what you may or may not do with respect to arresting persons, searching persons or property, and using force to control a situation.

More importantly, you should have a better understanding of what is not permitted and the consequences of choosing to exceed those limitations.
